Intercultural Competences, 3-7/4/2017
Last course before Easter, our Intercultural Competences course!
The course’s scope is to understand culture, multiculturalism and nationalism in the framework of education and training.
In this course we had the honor to host 5 trainees from 4 countries (Croatia, Germany, Spain and Estonia) representing the schools: Srednja skola Hrvatski kralj Zvonimir, Hunsrueck Grundschule, IES de Bocairent, Tartu Art College.
In the training participated also 2 of IDEC’s interns, Federica and Minerva from Italy and Spain, both with studies in International Relations, who contributed to the course with their own intercultural experiences.
During these 5 days our trainees learned about legislation, human rights, acquired intercultural competences as well as communication, problem solving and conflict management techniques.
A study visit was organized to the 2nd High School of Intercultural Education at Ellniko. During the study visit the participants had the opportunity to talk with the Headmistress and the teachers and discuss the challenges of intercultural education as well as good practices used for the integration of the students.
We would like to thank them all for their feedback! Our warmest regards to Gordija, Andrea, Frauke, Rafael and Vallo!
